Freshman Flashback

This was the last piece I made for freshman year, in my drawing class. This was an important step in combining several things like 3 point perspective, color theory, and composition all together into one unified piece. It's certainly some of my best work in recent years and appeals to one of my personal interests, Greek Mythology.

Ogel

A quick warm-up sketch that spiraled out of hand and into madness. Ogel was pretty much the most disappointing absentee from the Lego Movie, although he would probably end up usurping Lord Business and creating an army of skeledrones or something.

Galactic Civilizations 3 Trailer

Get hype!

The trailer for GalCiv3 pretty much assumes right off the bat that you know the basics of the game and doesn't waste any time with that, instead using that time for setting up the narrative that you will be experiencing, along with cleverly sneaking in some hints as to what will be new about this sequel, such as the destruction of one of the game's factions, Arcea, and what seems to be new gameplay mechanics like wormholes and improved planetary invasions.

Galactic Civilizations has been a stellar example of the 4X genre, pushing far beyond the territory of the Civilization series that helped to create the genre and making its own identity as a top-notch sci-fi strategy game with excellent gameplay and an enjoyable narrative experience. I'll definitely be looking forward to this newest installation in the series once it comes out of Steam's Early Access.
